Message of condolence
Everyone that met Tim knows that he had an insatiable, and infectious, love of life and people. He enjoyed nothing more than a night out socialising with friends and work colleagues. He also loved going to watch sport, especially football, cricket, rugby and boxing. Bristol Rovers was his one true sporting love.
Tim also loved to travel – he was hell-bent on completing the alphabet of countries, with only a few letters left! And nothing pleased him more than chilling or dancing to soul music.
If you would like to leave a message of condolence please leave your name and your message below. It will be seen by Tim’s family and friends and will comfort them at their time of loss.
Stories of Tim
Everyone that met Blythie knows that he was full of mischief, mayhem and merriment – usually at someone else’s expense!! It was never evil or intended to cause harm but just because he liked having a laugh by making the unexpected or unconventional happen to some unsuspecting victim.
Since his passing, there have been countless stories of Blythie’s misdemeanours – always told with a smile or laugh. You were not a friend of Blythie’s if you never left a restaurant or bar without a piece of cutlery, or a salt/pepper pot, or a piece of fruit in your pocket! Were you ever lucky enough to blag your way to the front of a queue, or into a VIP area, or into a sports hospitality event simply because you were out with him? Was your child left with Blythie for a short while and taught to ask for names like Hugh Janus, Ben Dover or Mike Oxard? And how many of us drank his favourite cocktail with him… the legendary Shit on the Grass?!
It is conservatively estimated that there are enough funny stories to produce a book and you are invited to share your Story of Tim below so that we can share them here with a smile, laugh or tear. Maybe others were there and so drunk they had forgotten the story or maybe because they remember it slightly differently. Either way, it doesn’t matter. We want to remember the best of times with one of the nicest, naughtiest, funniest men any of us are lucky enough to have met.
Please leave as many as you like – I bet you have more than one? If we get enough, we WILL produce a book for you to place by your toilet and to remember Blythie forever. It’s what he would have wanted!
